Back-alley, ramshackle, dirty Korea: the Korea that keeps you here.

Deserted Sunday.

Shady dealers?

Makkeolli and jokbal = content old men.

Gwangjang Shijang

Classic faces.

Soondae (blood noodle sausage) and jokbal (pig's feet) for everyone.
Dirty Korea. It’s homemade, crowded, a little shabby and worn around the edges, but still going strong, feeding hearts and bellies.

I tried to send you a facebook message, only to find your profile no longer exists; quite a sad day indeed.
I had to tell you that I think the church service at First Presbyterian Greenville was dedicated to you today. First and foremost, the reverend is fresh off the boat from Scotland. Secondly, his very fire and brimstone sermon dealt with pulling on up by one’s bootstraps. Finally, the whole service ended with Battle Hymn of the Republic.
I was pretty upset that you were half a world away and not able to be there yourself.
It looks like you’re still having a blast over there. I can’t wait to hear more!
Take care,
Will
